FARM ROAD

With this renovation of a 1700’s farmhouse on a fourth-generation family farm, we opened the ground floor to create a more spacious feel and added windows to the rear to make the most of the bucolic farm view. Traces of the historic timber framing were exposed while we comprehensively updated the exterior envelope to meet current energy standards and provide larger, operable windows. The existing entry door oddly entered directly into the living space, so by shifting this door over we completed the living room and created a proper entry space while also giving order to the front façade.
