This project began with a clear vision from our client: redo a full bath using saturated, decorative green tiles reminiscent of a Saarinen-designed lobby at their alma mater, the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and transform a portion of their pantry into a tucked-away powder room in deep blue tones. So a first step in our design process was to find a tile that could play a leading role and Heath Ceramics fit the bill perfectly. The full bath features a tiled bath nook nestled in a sinuous white surround. The powder room uses amber highlights against a deep blue base palette to create a zesty getaway hidden behind the pantry.
