Given the richly wooded lot it sat on, this existing house had preciously few windows. Our renovation connected the kitchen, dining, and living areas at the back of the house and created new, larger openings to more fully connect spaces to the surrounding yard and forest. The entry hall was widened into a generous space to greet guests and beckon them towards the newly luminous rear living spaces. Upstairs, the primary suite was reconfigured to provide a lofted ceiling, increase storage, and make a larger, more graceful bathroom.
